What to do in case of an Accident!

1. Call the police. Even if there appears to not be any damage, a police report will document details of the accident for insurance purposes.

2. DO NOT drive your vehicle if it is unsafe, i.e. lights broken, parts hanging off of vehicle.

3. The Insurance Company involved may want you to take your vehicle to their preferred shop. You do not have to do this. You can take your car, if it is driveable, or tow it to the collision shop of your choice. They will communicate with the Insurance Company for you.

4. The Insurance Company involved may want you to get several esimates, by law you are not required to obtain more than one estimate.

5. It is best to choose a Collision Shop that offers a "Lifetime Warranty" on Parts & Paint and has a reputable reputation.

Final Note:

Remember to get the names, phone numbers, addresses and insurance information of the other drivers, witnesses and injured persons involved. Please include the make, model and license numbers of the vehicles involved. This can help speed up claim processing. Wait times for a police report can be 3 to 10 business days.
